Lite is just a fun band. They bring to the table the perfect combination of the traditional and atmospheric post-rock elements mixed with just a little bit of math-rock influence. At 20 minutes in length this EP opens true to the formula that has produced an array of fantastic releases from the band with the track “Bond”. Just a fantastic use of bass has been splashed into the spotlight throughout this album. Switching things up from the norm, the final two tracks features some vocals similar to those of the band Amiina. It’s a nice change of pace that will be met with either delight or resistance depending on your stance of vocals within post-rock. I will say that I personally find them enjoyable, especially as this is an EP, the perfect time to experiment. Overall a solid release.  3-26-12
